Sons of the Forest has been in Early Access for a while now, but the game is finally readying for a full v1.0 release. It'll include voice acting from a famous actor, new features, quality-of-life updates and more. With the release just a new months away, fans are wondering exactly what to expect from this sequel to The Forest.
When Does Sons Of The Forest v1.0 Release
Sons of the Forest 1.0 Update is set to release on 22 February 2024, as confirmed by the developer, Endnight Games, on X (formally Twitter). The game is currently in Early Access (since February 2023), but the developers say they also have plenty more in store beyond the 1.0 release.

Sons of the Forest v1.0 will not just include quality-of-life updates, but also some new voice acting and story elements. Endnight Games recently announced that Shawn Ashmore voices Timmy, and the full release will expand upon his story in addition to the new voice lines.
Ashmore is known for his roles as Bobby Drake (Iceman) in X-Men, Lamplighter in The Boys, and Jack Joyce in Quantum Break.
