Actress Mahie Gill, who has worked with Irrfan Khan in noteworthy films like Pan Singh Tomar and Sahib Biwi Aur Gangster Returns shares fond memories that she recalls with her co-actor, late Irrfan. The news about Irrfan's demise broke out earlier today and since then his colleagues and friends have been pouring in their condolences.
Talking to Filmfare about Irrfan, Mahie said, "When I started shooting for Pan Singh Tomar, I was relatively new, it was a remote area and we had no facilities out there. Irrfan Sir was a star and he had a vanity van whereas I didn't have one at that point. He'd always make sure that I sit inside his vanity van while he sat out. He told me that you're a female actor and you should be sitting inside the van. There were so many such things about him that showed he was such a humble and a simple person. He'd take care of his co-actors and give them a lot of respect." Mahie Gill
She futher added, "I consider myself really fortunate that I got to work with him in 2 films. He always encouraged me and he had a great sense of humour too! It's a great great loss."
Mahie continued saying, "I used to call him 'My favourite Khan'. He was a great actor and a wonderful human being. Simple and grounded. Irrfan sir's demise is a great loss not just to his family but also for the film industry. Will miss him.. Travel well sir..." Mahie Gill More on: Mahie Gill
